Commissioned by De Vlaamse Waterweg and Anrob/Groep De Vlieger, BestBridges was responsible for the coordination and installation of a 570-metre-long timber revetment along the banks of the fishing pond of Cartelvissers vzw.
Efficiency was a key driver throughout this project. By optimizing site organization and strategically deploying resources, our team successfully completed the entire installation in just two weeks, significantly faster than the originally planned execution period of three weeks.
This sustainable timber structure provides robust protection against erosion and enhances the long-term stability of the banks. At the same time, the new revetment improves safety and accessibility for users while ensuring maximum respect for and minimal disturbance to the surrounding natural environment.
Various types of wooden balustrades are available, made of tropical hardwood such as Azobé or Bilinga. These balustrades offer great architectural freedom, allowing them to be perfectly adapted to the bridge’s design. The balustrades are easily dismountable, ensuring easy long-term maintenance without affecting the integrity of the bridge.
