Project Scope:

Client:
City of Roeselare

The City of Roeselare commissioned BestBridges to design, manufacture, and deliver a new bridge aimed at improving local accessibility and mobility infrastructure. To meet the city’s specific structural and aesthetic requirements, an efficient hybrid solution was selected, combining the optimal properties of both steel and timber in one cohesive design.

By merging steel and timber, the bridge brings together the best characteristics of both materials. The steel supporting structure guarantees exceptional durability, robustness, and the structural integrity required for a long-lasting and reliable piece of public infrastructure.

This hybrid approach not only delivers excellent structural performance but also creates an infrastructure solution that integrates naturally into its surroundings while providing a safe and comfortable experience for all users.

Balustrades

Various types of wooden balustrades are available, made of tropical hardwood such as Azobé or Bilinga. These balustrades offer great architectural freedom, allowing them to be perfectly adapted to the bridge’s design. The balustrades are easily dismountable, ensuring easy long-term maintenance without affecting the integrity of the bridge.
