Commissioned by WULTEPUTTE, BestBridges delivered several hybrid short-span bridges as part of the redevelopment of the golf course at Puyenbroeck in Wachtebeke.
A total of six bridges were constructed, each featuring a steel supporting structure combined with timber cladding and decking. These hybrid steel-timber bridges combine the best qualities of both materials: the robustness and durability of steel together with timber finishes that offer a low environmental impact and integrate harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.
The grooved timber decking developed by BestBridges further provides a safe and comfortable passage for pedestrians in all weather conditions.
Various types of wooden balustrades are available, made of tropical hardwood such as Azobé or Bilinga. These balustrades offer great architectural freedom, allowing them to be perfectly adapted to the bridge’s design. The balustrades are easily dismountable, ensuring easy long-term maintenance without affecting the integrity of the bridge.
