BestBridges uses InfraCore® technology to build composite bridges, the patented, non-delaminating fiber composite system used in over 1,000 heavy-duty structures worldwide. The bridge structure is designed as a multi-web sandwich construction with a top skin, bottom skin, and internal web plates surrounding a structural core. This results in a lightweight composite bridge with high bending stiffness at a low self-weight and efficient load transfer between the different elements.
Composite bridges are designed according to the applicable standards for pedestrian and bicycle bridges, with a live load of approximately 5 kN/m² and a service vehicle load of 6 tons, including a safety margin for occasional loads up to 12 tons. Upon request, the design can be further adapted for heavier loads. In the sizing, structural criteria such as allowable deflection (L/100 to L/250) and a minimum natural frequency of 3 Hz are considered, ensuring comfort and stability for users. Thanks to InfraCore® technology, our composite bridges are designed for a service life of over 100 years with minimal maintenance.

BestBridges composite bridges are well suited to public spaces, urban environments, golf courses, and waterway crossings. Fully customizable balustrades in steel and composite fiber, RAL deck and wear layer colors, side or top mounting, and optional integrated lighting allow each composite bridge to be tailored to its setting.
The composite bridge deck is finished with a durable anti-slip wear layer made of resin and mineral aggregate. This integrated top layer provides high traction and safe use in all weather conditions. The wear layer can be produced in multiple colors to improve visibility and safety for pedestrians and cyclists, while protecting the bridge deck from wear and contributing to a long, low-maintenance lifespan.
Various types of wooden balustrades are available, made of tropical hardwood such as Azobé or Bilinga. These balustrades offer great architectural freedom, allowing them to be perfectly adapted to the bridge’s design. The balustrades are easily dismountable, ensuring easy long-term maintenance without affecting the integrity of the bridge.
