Three Composite Bridges for a Sustainable Ecological Corridor in Lembeek

Commissioned by Van Raak for a project by the Flemish Environment Agency (VMM) and in collaboration with Sweco, BestBridges supplied and installed three composite bridges in the Zenneweide in Lembeek. The bridges are part of an ambitious nature project in which 3.8 hectares of former industrial land is being transformed into an accessible nature park rich in water features. At the same time, the VMM is restoring the Kleine Zenne, with a particular focus on water retention, biodiversity, and the nature experience. The three bridges were constructed using InfraCore® fiberglass technology and measure 13.5 x 3 m, 13.5 x 2 m, and 16 x 3 m, respectively.
