The engineering firm Studio LST engaged BestBridges LAB to provide specialized design and engineering services for a custom, modular composite platform in Pelt, Belgium.
The platform is part of the new development of the Agter de Heuf project and is designed to enhance the public space by creating a seamless, inclusive, and accessible pedestrian connection for both residents and visitors. By combining functionality, sustainability, and architectural quality, the infrastructure contributes to a pleasant and future-proof public space.
The walking platform covers approximately 105 m² and consists of several highly durable composite platforms. This modular approach allows for precise installation with minimal impact within the sensitive natural environment.
The structure is further reinforced with a custom-designed steel balustrade that combines safety with architectural elegance. With universal accessibility as its guiding principle, the platform ensures an inclusive, comfortable, and seamless experience for all users within the new development.
By providing feasibility studies, transparent cost estimates, and comprehensive technical specifications at an early stage, BestBridges LAB ensured that the engineering firm had a fully developed technical dossier at its disposal. This specialized support provides the engineering team with all the necessary insights and details to move the project from the concept phase to implementation in a smooth and well-founded manner.
